Wild Feminine – Clothing Swap

It’s that time: spring cleaning. At the store, we had a refresh. We’ve moved around the furniture, brought in some new cannabis goodies, and refocused our intention with Wild Bloom’s vision moving into this new season.

On April 11 at 6:00, we want to invite you to Wild Bloom’s first-ever clothing swap! Here you can bring your loved and gently worn clothes that you’d love to swap with another WB babe. A good rule of thumb is only to bring items you would feel comfortable giving to a friend

Bring up to 10+ items and take up to 10 items home! These items can be shoes, accessories, clothing, hats, etc as long as they are clean and lightly worn.

This event is located at 902 N Lamar Blvd, complimentary drinks from our sponsors will be provided.

This event is for individuals 21+ only. Sips are free, tickets are required to participate in clothing swap.

Our reason for this event:

Fashion has a serious waste and human rights problem. According to the EPA, more than 14 million tons of textiles were landfilled or burned in the U.S. in 2018, and globally, clothing is responsible for somewhere between 3 and 10% of greenhouse gas emissions. The conditions in garment factories, both overseas and here in the U.S., are notoriously horrendous, with workers (most of whom are female) making an unlivable wage and being exposed to toxic chemicals and other inhumane conditions.

Swapping clothes instead of buying new allows us to fulfill our desire for fresh fashion items, without purchasing new and contributing to this harmful industry.

You are welcome to take your items home with you if they are not taken or we will donate them to a local charity in Austin.
